Benjamin Pagoni retired from the Connecticut State Police and the United States Air Force Reserve, after serving 34 years in each. During his state police career, he was assigned to the Western District Major Crime Squad, and was the commanding officer of various state police criminal investigation units. His last assignment was commanding officer of the Inspections and Risk Management Unit, retiring with the rank of lieutenant. During his career in the Air Force, he was assigned as a Special Agent with the Air Force Office of Special Investigations, assigned to conduct major crime and fraud investigations and to conduct personal protection operations for high-profile U.S. Government dignitaries. He retired from the Air Force with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. He is a graduate of the FBI National Academy and earned his M.S. in Criminal Justice from the University of New Haven.
